February 8–9, 2019 - Corpus Christi, Texas

In response to the rise in opioid overdoses, The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Vital Signs, March 2018 asks the question, “What Now?” They answered with “now” is the time to make coordinated and informed efforts with local emergency departments, first responders, substance abuse providers, local health care providers, state and federal regulatory agencies to manage and treat patients with chronic pain and prevent opioid overdoses and deaths.

This conference has been designed to provide physicians and health care professionals with current evidence-based information about the opioid crisis and its community impact, maternal drug use and neonatal abstinence syndrome, new prescribing regulations, red flags and drug diversion, pharmacology and toxicology of abused psychoactive substances and the management and treatment of patients with chronic pain and addiction.

More information will be provided soon.
