Carl Vartian, MD, MS, FACP, FIDSA, received his MD degree from the State University of New York-Downstate Medical School. He completed an internal medicine residency at Cleveland Metropolitan General Hospital and an infectious disease fellowship
Dr. Vartian holds a Certificate in Medical and Healthcare Management from Rice University, Jones Graduate School of Management and a Master of Science degree in Health Informatics from The University of Texas School of Biomedical Informatics.
Dr. Vartian was in the private practice of infectious diseases for 24 years in Houston before joining HCA in 2008. He serves as the Chief Medical Officer for Bayshore Medical Center and is the Chief Medical Informatics Officer (CMIO) for the HCA Gulf Coast Division based in Houston.
